Overview
DishRush is a community-driven recipe-sharing platform that enables users to upload, discover, and engage with cooking content. The product gives users the freedom to create and share their own recipes while exploring content from others.
This project was designed as an MVP, focusing on core features that support content creation, discovery, and guided cooking experiences, with plans to expand functionality in future iterations.
Problem
People who want to cook often struggle to find recipes that match their specific needs, especially when they have certain ingredients in mind or are looking for quick guidance while cooking. Existing platforms can feel overwhelming, with unstructured content and limited support during the actual cooking process. Additionally, creating and sharing recipes can be complex when too much information is required at once.
Goal
The goal of this project was to design an engaging and user-friendly platform that enables users to easily discover, share, and interact with recipes. Another objective was to enhance the cooking experience by providing real-time support through an AI assistant. The MVP also focused on simplifying the content creation process, making it easier for users to add and publish recipes without feeling overwhelmed.
Product Features & Experience
1. Community-Based Recipe Sharing
Users can upload and explore recipes from different cultures and countries, creating a content-driven experience similar to social platforms but focused on cooking.
2. AI Cooking Assistant
An integrated AI assistant helps users by suggesting recipes based on their needs or available ingredients. It also provides real-time guidance while cooking, answering questions and offering tips to make the process easier and more interactive.
3. Structured Recipe Experience
Recipes are divided into four clear sections, allowing users to navigate easily between them without restarting from the beginning. This improves usability and makes following recipes more efficient.
4. Advanced Filtering System
A detailed filtering system helps users quickly find recipes based on their preferences, ingredients, or specific needs, reducing search time and improving discovery.
5. Simplified Recipe Creation Flow
The recipe creation process is divided into multiple steps instead of a single overwhelming screen. A progress bar guides users through the process, making it easier to complete and encouraging content creation.
Expected Outcome
The platform creates a more engaging and accessible way to discover and share recipes through a community-driven approach.
