Overview
Tarteb is a mobile application that connects homeowners with professional service providers for various household needs such as plumbing, carpentry, home cleaning, and more. The app acts as a bridge between customers and technicians, allowing users to request services quickly and conveniently.
Problem
The existing product lacked proper UX structure and clear user flows. Services were presented as a long list on the home screen without logical grouping, making it difficult for users to find what they needed. The main service-request flow was confusing and inefficient, causing users to abandon the process. Additionally, the large number of overly detailed service options created unnecessary complexity and slowed down decision-making.
Goal
The goal of this redesign was to simplify the service discovery and booking process. The focus was on improving the core user flow, organizing services in a clearer structure, and reducing friction when requesting urgent services. Another key objective was to make complex services—such as home cleaning—easier to customize and understand.
Design Improvements
1. Service Categorization
One of the main issues was the lack of structure in how services were presented. Instead of displaying all services individually on the home screen, I reorganized them into logical categories based on similarity. This helped users navigate services more easily and quickly identify the type of service they needed.
2. Quick Service Request
To support urgent situations, I introduced a Quick Request option in the top banner on the home screen. This allows users to instantly request a technician—such as a plumber—without browsing through the full list of services. The goal was to provide a fast solution for emergency scenarios like water leaks or sudden home issues.
3. Simplifying Service Options
The original system contained an excessive number of highly detailed services. I simplified the structure by reducing the number of services while still covering the full range of offerings. Services are now organized into clear sections within each category, supported by chips and headings that guide users toward the correct option faster.
4. Improved Cleaning Service Experience
The home cleaning service was redesigned with a completely different approach to make customization easier. I introduced a smart calculator that allows users to specify details such as apartment size, number of rooms, number of bathrooms, and additional cleaning options like deep cleaning or furniture cleaning. The system dynamically calculates the estimated price based on the selected requirements.
5. Flexible Subscription Packages
The original cleaning subscription packages were limited by strict apartment size requirements. In the redesign, packages are now defined by their benefits—such as the number of weekly visits—while the apartment size is selected separately within each package. This allows pricing to adapt dynamically based on the home size, giving users more flexibility and removing unnecessary restrictions.

Expected Outcome
The redesign improved the overall clarity of the service structure, making it easier for users to browse and understand available services. By introducing categorized navigation and simplifying the service list, users can now find what they need with fewer steps and less confusion.
The addition of a Quick Request feature significantly enhances the experience for urgent cases, allowing users to request immediate assistance without navigating through multiple screens.
The redesigned cleaning service flow provides a more flexible and personalized experience through the smart calculator, helping users understand pricing more clearly based on their specific needs.
Overall, the new structure reduces friction in the booking process and creates a more intuitive and user-friendly experience.
